KISER PIANO– PIANISTS AND TEACHERS
Greenville, SC
Concerts and Recitals
Lisa and David Kiser perform across the state and region as piano soloists, collaborative artists, accompanists and keyboardists in professional orchestras.
Schedule
2024: David Kiser, Piano Reflections on Literary Classics: Moby Dick, October 14, 10:30 AM, Steinway Gallery, Greenville SC

Join me for my first lecture/demonstration of a new series exploring two of my biggest passions: classical music and literature. I'll tackle a big book: Moby Dick. The point of the series is to get people reading again. I'll reveal how music can say something about a book, or how and why an author references a classical piece of music or composer. Either way the connection will prove inspiring (at least I hope so). In the case of Melville's Moby Dick, he doesn't reference a classical piece so I've chosen what I think is a complimentary work of music, which will reveal the inner struggle Captain Ahab faces.
2024: Kiser Piano Duo live at Paris Mountain State Park on October 19!
NOTE: This has been Cancelled because of Hurricane Helene Damage!

2-4 PM. The concert is free but you must pay park admission. This is an outdoor concert (digital piano and speakers). We will be performing Dvorak's New World Symphony complete and arranged by the composer for piano four hands. We'll also play some spooky pieces to celebrate Halloween and the Day of the Dead around the corner.
