Piano Four Hands or Two Pianos

Kiser Piano Duo Presents: Mozart Mixed Up

Mozart Mixed Up is a recital for two pianos of about 70 minutes not including intermission. Lisa and David will play favorites from Mozart's output like the C major Sonata "facile" that every student knows and the Overture to the opera the Magic Flute, but both of these pieces have been changed or adapted by none other than Edvard Grieg and Ferruccio Busoni.

The recital will include a Mozart original: the well-loved Sonata for Two Pianos in D Major, a piece that has been the subject of scientific study in its positive effects on children. The program concludes with the thunderous Variations and Fugue (op. 132a) on the famous tune from the first movement of Mozart's K. 331 by Max Reger. This is Mozart that is nigh unrecognizable as it is subjected to Reger's chromatic and contrapuntal treatment. We are very excited to present this program. And don't worry, Mozart will survive it.

Please see the pdf for the exact details of the program.
